Andrew R. Booth is a Member of the firm. He is a trial and appellate lawyer who specializes in defending doctors, nurses, physician assistants, hospitals, and other health care providers in medical malpractice litigation. Andy also represents clients in licensing and credentialing matters. He is licensed to practice in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and New York.
Born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland, Andy graduated from Wagner College in New York City with an International Affairs degree. In 2009, he graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was Executive Articles Editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review, and first-place winner of the 59th Annual National Moot Court Competition, one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious competitions, which is sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers.
After law school, Andy worked as a litigation associate for a large global law firm, where his practice areas included antitrust, intellectual property, class action defense, and diverse appellate matters, including U.S. Supreme Court litigation.
Andy joined Gleason, Flynn, Emig & McAfee as an associate in 2016. Since then, he has been the second chair for a number of jury trials and has briefed and argued appeals in the appellate courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He has repeatedly been recognized as a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers. Andy became a member of the firm in 2022.
