Brad Roegge is a Shareholder at the firm. He has over twenty years of experience defending professional liability matters, including medical malpractice, dental malpractice and legal malpractice actions. Mr. Roegge frequently defends physicians, nurses, physician assistants, dentists, oral surgeons and other professionals in disciplinary actions involving their licenses and clinical privileges. He has also defended product manufactures and their insurers in complex toxic tort and product liability matters in addition to claims against architects, engineers and contractors in construction-related litigation.
Mr. Roegge is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in the District of Columbia and Maryland, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. Court of Claims. He has had significant jury trial experience in each of these jurisdictions. As a former teacher, Mr. Roegge has an innate ability to connect with the average juror and to distill often complex evidence in an understandable way.
A native Michigander, Mr. Roegge obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Williams College before earning his Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1995. During law school, he was an associate editor of the law review and published articles in the areas of constitutional law and tort reform. After law school, he practiced at a highly-regarded Minneapolis defense firm before moving to the Washington, D.C. area in 2001. Mr. Roegge worked at prominent defense firms in the District of Columbia and Maryland prior to joining Gleason, Flynn, Emig & McAfee, Chartered in 2014 as a Member. He was promoted to Partner in 2020.
His wife Jeannette also practices law and together they have raised three adult children. In his spare time, Brad enjoys golf, racquet sports and his two dogs, Martha and Bonnie.
