Mr. Flynn retired from the Firm on December 31, 2022.
Michael Flynn is a founding Shareholder of the firm. His practice areas include medical malpractice defense, commercial litigation, construction litigation, dental malpractice litigation, long-term care litigation, medical licensing, staff privileges & credentialing, health care litigation, and serious personal injury cases. Mr. Flynn is a lifelong resident of the Washington Metropolitan Area, having graduated from Gonzaga College High School, the University of Maryland, and the University of Baltimore Law School.
Since completing his judicial clerkship at the Honorable Albert T. Blackwell in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County in 1978, Mr. Flynn has practiced continuously in the Washington Metropolitan Area since 1979. He is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars. Mr. Flynn is also a member of the Bars United States District Court for District of Maryland, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, United States Circuit Court for the District of Columbia Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Flynn received the highest honors available to a trial lawyer, including Fellowship in the American College of Trial Lawyers, and election to the membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates. He holds an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubble. Mr. Flynn was named by Best Lawyers as Lawyer of the Year in Medical Malpractice Defense for the Year 2015.
